Vanished is an independent research archive documenting unexplained disappearances in wilderness and remote terrain — national parks, forests, coastlines, and backcountry routes where people step off the map and never come back.
What this site is
Each case file brings together dates, locations, maps, media, and narrative context drawn from public records, news reports, and documented search efforts. The goal is clarity for readers — not sensationalism.
Vanished is a personal research project, not a law-enforcement agency. Nothing here should be treated as official confirmation of facts. When sources conflict, we try to say so.
